I decided to start this blog specifically to let people know how they can rescue email attachments in Vista that they’d opened from Windows Mail and then saved without also saving the files to a specific location on Vista. It took me two hours of searching online and my computer to find the attached file I was looking for, and I thought it would be helpful to others with the same problem if I set out a clear, easy explanation for how to find their disappearing files. Hopefully people using Windows Mail will now be able to find their missing saved attachments in 10 minutes instead of several hours.
If the post helps you find your file(s), feel free to contribute your own special tip about Vista that other people might find useful. Just submit a comment, or email me at animus08@yahoo.com, and I’ll get the tip up to this blog. Also, if you’re feeling grateful after saving some time and/or money by finding your file, feel free to send a couple dollars my way as a thank you by using the donation button up at the top right.
